Five Questions
We’re back in the meme business temporarily. I found this one the Bit’s blog and was intrigued. The particularly fun one about this is that its different questions. It depends upon what someone else wans to know about you. Feel free to ask for questions below, I shall provide to the best of my ability. If I don’t know you that well they might get quite random…but then…that’s part of the fun.
But let’s get going:
1. Why did you move away from the religion you were raised in?
This is a long and complex story. I’ll try and keep it fairly simple though. I was raised Catholic, and attended Catholic church. I always thought the morals and the lessons learned from the bible made sense (we never got told about the stuff about being gay being evil or anything like that….it was just an issue that never came up). Be kind to people…I could dig that.
But for almost as long as I remember I remember having to edit what I said during services. It was the bit that happened at bigger events. Easter, Weddings and other generally more important times. Basically there’s a big list of things that you say you believe in and that you reject. You follow along this big list of stuff and say yay or nay to the bits your supposed to say yay or nay to. There’s little room for deviation. That didn’t stop me.
I was fine saying I believed in God, I was even okay believing in Jesus, and the Saints, and I was happy to reject Satan and all his works.
But then there was the bit about the Church. You had to say you believed that the church and the people that were part of it were the workers of God on Earth and you believed it was the one true Church and stuff like that (I should research this and find the exact words). I couldn’t buy it….it didn’t make sense. These were people…these people were fallible. They couldn’t be perfect…that doesn’t make any sense.
So I didn’t say that bit.
Bear in mind that this was when I was about ten or so.
It got me thinking.
Particularly it made me think that I didn’t believe in the church. Then I realised that all the teachings were by the church. By people. Fallible, human, people.
Sure the ideas were still pretty damn good…but the rest of it…it was all just words from people.
I got bored of going to church. I realised that I did believe in something greater than us…but that it was indefinable and unknowable.
Also there was a chance it didn’t exist.
As people close to me started dying. I wanted to believe again, but I knew I was doing it to console myself…I saw how easy it was to want to believe in these things…and convince yourself they were definitely real.
But the more I thought about it the less I believed it to really be true. No God would want you to believe in God purely because you were scared he didn’t exist.
So I still talk to my dear departed….but knowing that they probably can’t hear me. I talk to my memories of them. I talk to the energy caused by their actions. The traces they live in this world.
There’s no guaruntee of another one…so I make the best of this one.
When I was supposed to be confirmed I simply didn’t go. I had to lie to my Nanna to convince her it wasn’t time for it yet. (She was the driving force of religion in our family…my mother didn’t even go to church, my Dad did, but I always thought it was just because of Nanna. One of my most horrible memories is of visiting her in a nursing home and her saying that she was in a lot of pain..but she just had to think of the suffering of Jesus of the cross and she realised she was still nothing in comparison to him….it really disturbed me….I hate the Catholic emphasis on suffering.) So I never got confirmed…I then stopped going to church at Christmas and Easter (I hadn’t been going to Sunday services for quite a while beforehand). I haven’t really identified myself as Catholic since I was about 14-16 at the latest.
But I still try to love my neighbour.
Right…that was too long…and it’s still not the whole story…but that’ll have to do for now.
2. If you could only read one book for the rest of your life, what would it be and why?
That is not an easy question. For a start I’d want something that would last me. My instant reaction would be the Pliocene Exile/Galactic Milieu Cycle by Julian May, but, well, that’s actually eight books. So that’s cheating. They generally stand as my favourite books to read.
But to be honest, they aren’t really thinking books…well they are…but I’d probably want something that I could really rip into again and again and again.
I’m tempted to say Ulysses, because I might just stand a chance of finishing it one day. Then I could read it again and again trying to work out what the hell it meant. I really enjoyed it when I studied it, but I’m not sure…I would want something more coherent.
Then I think spiritual…something that will make my life better over time. I always feel enlightened by reading the Tao Te Ching. It provides me with a feeling of calm and makes me think about how I’d live my life…so that’s definitely right up there.
Then there’s Dick. I’d miss Dick sooooo much. He’s re-readable and he’s fun. Only problem is his books are too short and unlikely to be rereadable. My favourites remain VALIS, Ubik and Do Androids dream of electric Sheep?. They have a lot of sway over me…but I don’t think any of them would last my whole life.
There’s more things I could list, but I’d better draw this to a conclusion.
Basically, it would be a punch up between Catch 22 and the Tao Te Ching.
Catch 22 would win. It’s one of the few books I wanted to start reading again as soon as I’d finished. It’s so much damn fun to read…like real damn fun. A strange journey and a wild ride. I could reread it and try and grab meaning from it, or I could just dip in and laugh until my balls fall off. It’s got that depth of interpretation, and can make me cry and laugh (often within one page).
Hands down winner really (well…the Taoism would be a close second..but not as close as I thought initially).
Damn….I rate having a laugh over spiritual harmony.
3. What’s your prefered writing implement?
Has to be a computer. I can type faster than I write, and both of them are slower than I think…much slower. Writing for me is about keeping up with what’s going through my head before it floats away.
Also there’s practical matter of the fact that I can’t read my own handwriting. My handwriting hasn’t improved since I was in Primary school, and I was bottom of the class now. It’s just appalling illegible scribble. Absolutely useless as a form of communication. You can’t read it unless you already know what it says.
4. If they could ‘grow’ meat, that was never actually part of an animal with any kind of consciousness, would you eat it?
This is a bit complicated. The quick answer is probably.
Let me explain. For a start, when I first stopped eating meat it was a reaction to a strange circumstance. The ethical side had always bothered me but not enough to counter the fact that I liked eating meat. Anyway, basically, I took some acid and had a very strange trip. It kind of screwed with me a bit.
The one really weird thing was that after it was over, and I got back to normal (over the years I’ve got better at getting myself back to normal) all the meat I ate tasted filthy and dry and dull and horrible. Like really foul. It just had no flavour and was too dry to be really edible. I decided quickly to go Veggieonce I finished the meat in the freezer. The last thing I cooked was a honey lemon Chicken that was beautiful and didn’t have the same effect; it was gorgeous. But I’d committed by that point, I figured my body had been trying to tell me something.
So I might not eat it simply because it might not taste good.
The rest of it depends on what kind of a process we’re talking about. I reckon that if the ecological impact of the process of ‘meat growing’ was small enough and the whole thing was sustainable and inexpensive, then I’d see little ethical reason not to, but I’d have to investigate that a lot before I’d feel happy about it. Also no farmed animals could’ve been involved in the inventing process.
So it depends on the process, and whether it was tasty.
So maybe.
Does that answer the question?
5. Who are you all time top three bands/singers?
Fuck me. That’s not easy.
Well, the first one is. Talking Heads/David Byrne - I love the whole output of the band and artist. The Live DVD Stop Making Sense is just incredible, and what initially turned me on to the band. His voice is incredible in the most amazing way. Really amazing. The music is still daring, differnent, and dynamic today. It’s still a challenge to the ears. It’s still brilliant. There’s no question, the band rock hard and play hard, the lyrics lose me in their simplicity and depth, and the voice takes risks and goes places I can barely imagine….and makes me want to follow. I can’t really hear it without singing along.
The second choice becomes incredibly hard. There’s so many things that I love that I want all of them to be represented. I also don’t want to seem like I just love the oldies, or just love new flash in the pan bands. Plus I want Hip Hop and Dance music to be better represented, as I spend so much time listening to them.
Anyway, I’m going to go with my gut reaction, following my heart to the Beach Boys. My friends Parge and Will got me into the slightly more obscure stuff (post the aborted Smile) while I was in my teens and I fell in love hard. Really hard. It’s all about heart you see. Beautiful harmonies and fun bouncy tunes, but there’s depth. Brian Wilson is a production genius and they could all get the music just right. There’s diamonds throughout their career. I could listen to the album Friends forever and I’d always be smiling.
Okay, so Third is still challenging, but I’m bringing someone up to represent the modern music that fills up so many of my hours. Squarepusher has to be the one for me. It’s the sheer experimentalism, the fact that he can make me cry and make me laugh and make me dance like a psychotic at the drop of a hat. It’s the fact that he plays electronica/drum’n'bass/jazz/hardcore/anything else you can shake an ass at and yet still brings in live bass and drums (incredibly good live bass and drums) and do it all himself. It’s the fact that he has a sense of humour, and it comes through in his music. It’s the fact that he’s just really awesome (and quite a nice guy).
So there we go….I apologise to all those I left behind.
So there we go. That may well be much more information than you ever needed, but I think we found out some stuff. I could clarify more but I don’twant you to actually explode with boredom.
So, any further questions or matters arising?
And perhaps more importantly…does anyone want their own five questions?

Me, Me, Me!!
Fascinating post.
The Beach Boys kinda threw me.
We’re on the same page regarding religion as well.
The conformity of the Catholic church has driven me bonkers for years. I believe what I believe and for me, that just seems to work.
I’m a avid fan of the fountain pen and all its inks so that’s where I sit on that query. I write in my journal, edit into Word, edit again before I post (even though I could edit until the cows come home)
The one book has me baffled. For me that question would be virtually impossible to answer.
If you have time in the not too distant future, smack my ass and call me Betty, I’ll take a fiver.
~m
The whole thought process being faster than a computer and pen, I totally get that!
Hi, hi.
#4…wow. That’s really funny, cuz of this debate that developed yesterday on my favorite weasel’s blog. I refer you to the comments section, if you’d like to have a looksee. It actually inspired his next post, too.
http://sweasel.com/archives/113#comments
The beach boys rock hard. Well…they have sweet sweet melodies. Go out and get a copy of the ‘Friends’ and ‘20/20′ double album. Plenty of my favourites are on there. Plus you should probably listen to Pet Sounds at some point.
It always used to be about the wonder and mystery of Smile….all the little bits you heard were these little clues pointing to this mysterious whole that didn’t exist. The production was so rich and full and fascinating…and it was lost.
After Brian Wilson broke down you have this strange band being held together by someone who can’t function and them trying to find new ways to work together…and they still pull off these lovely strange pieces. It’ll make you smile and you’ll think it’s stupid…but it’s still really great.
I could have put a thousand more experimental and exciting and strange and wonderful bands…there was so many…but deep in my heart it’s all about the Beach Boys.
Anyway,
I’ll do V’s questions first and then M’s later, once I’ve got more time.
So for V:
1. What was the first thing you wrote knowing that you were writing it for your own pleasure not some external taskmaster…and what do you think of it now?
2. If you only had one landscape to see out of your window for the rest of your life…where would it be?
3. We know you as an Insecure Writer, but what makes you feel most secure?
4. How well do you think you’d fare as a hermit living in a cave with no contact with the rest of human society?
5. The Back to the Future question…if you could travel to any period in history, which would it be?
Hmmm…so some of those questions are a bit dumb…but I don’t care…I want to know the answers. Enjoy.
Kenzie:
I occasionally lose it when my thoughts start running too fast for my own head to keep up with. I end up not thinking anything apart from this blurred mess and start to lose track a little. It’s very strange. On the whole though…I enjoy being able to have as many thoughts as I have…it can definitely be fun.
Whrabby:
I’ll check that out when I’ve got more time. I’m kind of in a rush and don’t want to be late for work again.
If you want to know more about my Veganism then check out an early post of mine called ‘Ethics - Mine not yours’ or something similar…it’s very long but very interesting too.
M, your questions (and your smack, and your betty) will follow….and I can write more for more people, it just may take me a while.

No rush, dude.
I’m ready whenever you are. ;)

OK, here goes Matilde or whatever your name is (do you get that….that joke makes sense to me…but maybe not to everyone….erm…I’m being weird tonight).
Here’s your wild ride of questions:
1. When were the last time you cried and the last time you laughed? (I mean really cried and really laughed…a proper belly laugh)
2. What do you value most in your marriage?
3. Your house is on fire…you’re the only one inside…what do you grab before you run outside?
4. Would you rather be deaf or blind?
5. How would you like to be remembered?
Feel free to elaborate as much or as little as you like in your answers.
I’m beginning to get into the swing of this…any more volunteers?
Krippens, interesting post.
I understand what you mean about the Catholic Church, though I don’t think I have that clear cut an answer.
Absolutely on the Beach Boys.
I loved Catch 22 also, but I’d go for Heinlein’s Stranger in a Strange Land.
I have the same problem with the writing implements - bad handwriting, not fast enough, trying to get it all down (are you my long lost twin brother separated at birth?)
Top three bands/singers? Wow…. Clapton (he’s God, you know?) Crosby, Stills & Nash, Janice Joplin. I don’t think I love anybody who is more current as much as these three.
Fun talking to you.
WC
Thanks for stopping by. The only Heinlein I’ve read is Time Enough for Love…I loved it…but I don’t think I’d want to read it again and again. Catch 22 I can always pick up and always want to read.
Can’t say your choice of music matches up with mine enough for the separated at birth hypothesis unless we look deeper into nature/nurture and musical taste.
As for the church. I apologise if I made it seem too clear cut. There is no clear cutting where religion is concerned. I had a lot of experiences and knowledge that meant I couldn’t trust the apparatuses of organised religion (cf government)….nothing dramatic…just seeing things in the news and around me that showed me that humans were fallible (hell….the bible says it all the time). I’ve still got a lot of left over faith and try to live a good life. A few months ago I got engaged in an immense debate with people who insist that no matter how good I am…until I welcome Jesus into my life I am going to hell.
That don’t make no sense to me.
Anyway, thanks for stopping by….Keep up the Fun
oops…forgot to say I’d take five too - if you’re still handing them out. thanks, WC
Okie Doke,
Here goes:
1. What’s the saddest fictional event you’ve ever borne witness to?
2. What’s the most wonderful sound you’ve ever heard?
3. Who do you most want to punch in the face?
4. What was the last thing that stopped you in your tracks in amazement?
5. Have you ever seen something that definitely wasn’t there?
Hmmm….I appear to be in quite a sensual yet abstract mood this afternoon.
Wonderful.
Enjoy…apologies if they’re a bit strange.
Thanks, I’ll let you know when I’ve answers for them.
WC
Finished reading Do androids… today and, although it wasn’t what i was expecting, thoroughly enjoyed it. Valis OTOH remains inpenetrable…
And hit me with 5 questions!
Androids really rocked my world. There’s so much more in there than the film portrayed…so much…and the whole focus is shifted…the common thread is empathy…and so many strange and wonderful questions are asked by it.
Valis isn’t as impenetrable as it seems if you understand more of the circumstances around it. I can lend you a very good biography of Dick that may open it up for you quite well. Only problem is it’s full of spoilers for lots of his best books. I can lend you most of the best ones…though I’ve lost my copy of the three stigmata of Palmer Eldritch…which is annoying.
Anyway, questions…bear in mind that I am hungover so these may not be as incisive as they could be.
1. What’s your favourite piece of art? Describe it to us…even if it’s well known.
2. Name one thing you feel you couldn’t live without.
3. If you were turned into a statue..what pose would you most like to be in?
4. Out of all of the facets of your identity…which is most important to you?
5. What’s one thing that you hope for the future that you wouldn’t believe possible except in your wildest dreams?
Strange ones there….I had to remove one and replace it because I though it was just too silly/dull. How can you be silly and dull at the same time?
What kind of a stupid question is that? I mean, have you read this blog?
This is really interesting, I’m tempted to steal the questions you got.
I’m totally with you on the crucifiction story, that gave me nightmares when I was seven or eight (My sister: You know that didn’t happen to Jesus (pbuh) Me: It happened to PEOPLE!). To this day any mention of nails/sharp objects going into people’s hands or feet freaks me out. And they tell children about this in school.
I know I haven’t actually moved away from the religion I was raised in by my family, but thinking about it, I’ve realised that I was raised as Christian (not Christina - weird typo) by my school and society at large, in the sense that I understand all the things your talking about, except it was acceptable (expected) for me to openly reject Christianity.
Oddly me and a few friends were having a conversation about Joseph (as in Mary and…) and we weren’t sure if he’s even mentioned in the Qu’ran, which is terrible. We’re not even getting our information directly from the Bible which is somewhat acceptable as a source, but from nativity plays and the like.
I need to look that up.
Anyway… give me five!
I feel really stupid ….{hanging head, drooling}
I’m laughing actually because I didn’t pick up on the ’tilde’
Another word I don’t use often.
I’ll let you know when my questions are done.
~Matilde
Ah, dont feel stupid…the joke was stupid enough in itself.
As for AM the Anti-Christina, here’s your questions:
1. What’s the most important effect that your faith has on your day to day life?
2. When was the last time you laughed like a little baby?
3. If you had to support yourself for the rest of your life with a single craft (traditional making type professions) which would you do?
4.What piece of music brings you closest to tears?
5. Which writer would you most like to punch in the face?
They any good?
When you find out some of the factual details of crucifixion it gets a lot worse. I read a really dark short story by Pat Cadigan about a Vampire Hunter who has a tattoo of an accurate portrayal of the crucifixion on his chest (designed by an insane nun no less) that’s so detailed it kills any vampires that see it. The description is incredibly dark. It really left me a little scared for a while.
Horrific…Thanks for stopping by m’dear. I look forward to your responses.
I started reading Catch-22 in high school … and I don’t think I’ve ever really stopped. I’ll read it … finish it again … start it again … I think it’s always been there, germinating in the background of my life for about thirty years.
Catch-22 and the Bible … those would be my two books I’d have to decide between. Knowing myself, I know I’d pick the Bible as my “one book” (but then probably always in the back of mind on that desert island, I’d be missing Catch-22).
I remember telling one of my teachers during my senior year of high school that Catch-22 was my favorite book. He literally just stood there staring at me with his mouth open. He finally was able to say, “Oh. That’s amazing. I wouldn’t have thought it.” And then he never looked at me quite the same again. Wonder what altered in his thoughts about me after hearing that was my favorite book?
Oh, by the way, you don’t know me at all so don’t feel like you need to rack your brain to remember where we’ve met. lol I’m just a regular visitor to WriterChick’s blog … and of course I had to come visit you after reading her Five Questions. Feel free to ask me five, if you feel so inspired. One total stranger to another. ;-)
~Debi
Ok, questions for a stranger…..these might end up being even more probing that my earlier ones…we shall see:
1. Tell me a story that makes you smile about someone or something that you’ve lost ?
2. What is the backbone of your life…the one part that if removed would leave you paralysed, unstable and broken?
3. What thought makes you wake up in the morning? I mean the one that removes the haze of sleep and turns you back into a thinking being.
4. Which is most likely to illicit a strong emotional reaction in you: a beautiful painting, a beautiful piece of music or a beautiful poem?
5. Tell me a story from your teenage years that still lingers today and defines part of who you are.
Was that all too personal? Why is that sometimes easier with strangers? Anyway, feel free to ignore me of course.
I think I’m a little unstable myself this morning, hence the rather dark tone to the questions….though I guess it doesn’t have to be that dark if you think about it the right way.
Story of my life.
Done!
http://shewhohashope.livejournal.com/40320.html
PS. You can call me Ayaan.
Yeah, I know…I’m just trying to keep myself amused….I’m a bit simple like that.
Thanks for your answers…brilliant stuff.
Alabaster Crippens,
A new mystery to explore. This is my first visit - came over from Smoke & Mirrors - and this five questions thing is very entertaining. You are an excellent question-asker. I’m sure I’ll go read Writer Chick’s answers.
And I’ll be back here soon.

LOL! I make myself laugh, sometimes. I have two blogs and I just messed them up for you. I commented the first time from my DSimple blog … but then responded to the five questions with the Ms Crankypants blog. Just thought I’d better straighten things out so you didn’t feel confused about who this Ms Crankypants person was who stole DSimple’s questions. ;-)
~The Confused One
You’re confused? Think about little old me.
Nah, I worked it out did take me a little while thought I must admit.
And thanks for stopping by Lolly, I can’t believe how much traffic this has generated, but I guess it makes sense….I guess really it’s just an elaborate excuse to get people to link to me…
Nah…this has been a lot of fun…you do get to learn a lot about people…and working out the questions is a lot of fun.
I’d choose a computer as my favorite writing implement, too. I write horrible slow, so by the time I finally get to the gist of whatever I felt was so vital to write down, my mental train has either been completely derailed, or it’s switched tracks. I’m also a bit of a perfectionist, so I’m never happy with my hand writing, and I don’t like the fact that there isn’t an “edit” button.
I’m new to your site, which I’m sure you already know. It seems to be the new thing to come over to your site and ask for questions, so I thought I’d work my way over here.
Are you still giving out questions? If so, I’ll take five, please. :-)
~Kelsey
Hi. I’m going to do my part as a total stranger to you and beg for five questions.
Pleeease?
My demanding public seeks me out and exploits my labour.
Vive La Revolution.
Well…not really.
Anyway, I’m finding it a little strange that everyone’s coming to me for questions. I don’t mind, it’s just that I always thought the whole meme thing was about them being infectious. I assumed people who took questions and made posts would start giving out their own questions and so the chain would continue.
Instead I seem to have become some kind of question Guru….people questing up my mountain through raging storms to come and sample my wisdom.
Except it’s the internet so I’m an idiot and the the quest consists of clicking on a link and typing some words.
Still….the general idea is there.
Anyway, I’ve been having trouble sleeping so don’t blame me if these questions aren’t cooked all the way through.
For the Modest Mr K E Molesey:
1. You’re lying down at rest, with a gentle smile on your face, your eyes closed feeling completely calm and at peace with the world. So where the hell are you?
2. What keeps you up all night worrying?
3. What’s the strangest thing a stranger has ever said to you?
4. Who’s got the best voice?
5. What would be worth giving up your life for?
And for the inimitable work surface over there:
1. You’re younger than me…what do you want from your future?
2. If you could live in the universe/world of one film or book, which would it be? Bear in mind that you wouldn’t be someone important or significant to the plot…you’d just be a lowly commoner type and would have to deal with the problems as well as the niceness. No time for heroics lad.
3. What was the last book you read that really made a difference to your outlook on life?
4. What kind of music do you like? Not in terms of genre…but in terms of the way it makes you feel.
5. What needs to change in this world?
And there you go…that’s about the best I can muster in this dubious state of tired and confusedness. Apologies if they ain’t up to scratch…but I did warn you.
Oh, and incidentally. I realised the last night that there’s a good chance I might replace the Beach Boys with Bjork….but I’m not sure. Musical Polymaths rock.
Oh, and I’d like a favour from everyone who got questions from me.
I’m going to start another post linking to everyone’s answers. But I’d like to make it more than just a list of links…so can everyone who’s received questions ask me ONE question back. Do it in this thread if possible and I’ll answer in an upcoming post.
In principle it’ll return some of the love I’ve been getting from all these links to me. Whilst also giving me some question answering fun.
And remember…keep it original…you’ll look dumb if you ask the same question as somebody else.
If you could cure any disease in the world today, what would it be and why?
~m
What is your biggest pet peeve? (If you know why it bothers you, or where/when it originated, please tell.)
It’s funny how this MeMe turned into a YouYou … you asking everyone’s questions. lol … I went back several links in the chain to see if I could figure out why it got confused (because it seems like it did), but I honestly can’t figure it out. It seems pretty clear that it’s a pass-it-on thing. I guess everyone just loves your questions, Alabaster. :-)
I’m going to add a sentence to my answers specifically spelling out the details of how if they want five questions, they need to ask me for them, but then they need to pass it on and ask their cyber-friends questions they come up with themselves.
Maybe you’ve just been gifted with incredible question asking abilities. Maybe the title of your blog should be “Alabaster Crippens: The Font of All Questions Worth Answering”. ;-)
~Ms CP
Font? Fount? LOL
Hey there. Thanks for the questions, I had fun doing them. Here’s a link, in case you’re interested:
http://thedesktop.wordpress.com/2007/03/29/five-questions/
Since I didn’t give any commentary on your blog post, and I begged you in place of that, I’ll ask you upwards of the one requested question.
1. Imagine yourself looking into the future 200 years from now and seeing your succeeding generations try to puzzle together your life for some reason. Is there any one trait about you that you’d like them to understand? Why?
2. Everybody’s life has at least one turning point where all other events are considered “before the turning point” and “after the turning point.” What’s yours?
3. What is your biggest regret/blunder?
4. You are injured seriously in the crossfire of a gang shootout. You’re still mentally healthy, but your body is a wreck. For some reason, you have to have it transplanted onto the body of an animal. What animal would you like your head to be on and why?
5. Do you aspire to anything? Would you give up all responsibilities to fulfill your desires?
Thanks for the questions so far y’all…I’m going to wait for a few more before I carry on. Also, as DT has already done it anyone who wants to top up theirs to five can do so if they like.
Anyway, I may start building the answer post tonight..or it may take a while. I’m a bit busy this weekend.
Thanks again. I’ve been thinking about them all for a long time and enjoying rolling them around my head.
Oh, and Cranky,
Bless you, but I somehow can’t see myself as really being the almighty asker of the questions….though I’m certainly closer to that than being the almighter holder of the answers.
To be honest, I may be Al…but I’m just not that mighty.
Thanks a lot for raising a smile and a half on my grumpy grumpy face.
It’s not really a question, but: Share one childhood memory.
Good, bad, whatever you want.
Also, as a bonus:

[...] Like so many bloggers before me, I have returned from my quest to get five questions to answer from Alabaster Crippens. I decided to post them on my other WordPress blog, so check it out here. [...]
I’m done. :-D
And your question is: What do you think the purpose of imagination is and where do you think it originated?

Yeah me please!
Ok.
Saf,
Describe an item of clothing that you think could represent an important part of your identity?
What that you’ve lost do you miss most?
What effect do you most notice your gender having on your day to day life?
What music do you like to drift off too at night and what music would you like to open your eyes to in the morning?
Where would like to go today?
Silly? Maybe…Enjoy (and remember to put a link here once you’re done).
if you don’t mind, a couple of questions do jump into my head…
1)When wouldn’t you be, if you weren’t now?
2) Where wouldn’t you be, if you weren’t here?
3) What is your mission in life?
4) My belief is that every behaviour, every action, is based on a positive intention. Now, I noticed you were feeling less than great the last few days, so, what is the positive intention behind that?
5) You have had a lot of experience in your life with drugs and otherwise. If you had to pass all your knowledge and experience on within one word, what would that word be?
Alby, I’d go a bit mad if I were you.
V,
I think anyone would.
I know I certainly have.
I don’t think it’s the handicap that people make it out to be.
It can even be quite enjoyable.
Though you do have to be incredibly aware of it in order to stay close enough to sane to be functional.
I try.
As for you Phantomias. You are cheeky, but you ask wonderfully bold and difficult questions.
Keep it up. I’ll post shortly.
Kudos.
Mr Crippens, indeed I am, and have been told many times…I just saw “question time” and my fingers kind of wrote…
