Male Feminism – The Other Side of This Coin (Including a confession)

There appears to be fire in my belly.
I was in a distracted state all through Tai Chi yesterday (extra long session) and didn’t feel settled or improved afterwards. I think my head was in an angry state yesterday (I did all the washing up, cleaned the bedroom, though you wouldn’t be able to guess, and [...]

Twice cooked

Sorry I haven’t been around for ages, has been a busy life of late. Also, its actually going to continue being busy, and I’ll be in London for up to a week. When I get back I should still be on my brief chunk of time off, so hopefully I’ll put something real up here [...]

Happy Fucking Day – Load of Bullshit

Posted on 14 February 2008. Filed under: Bullshit, Fucking, Hugs, Love, Valentines |

That’s about it.
As you can probably tell, I’m not particularly pro valentine’s day. Even though this year, for once, I’ve actually got someone to be cynical about it with (who’s visiting today, and I haven’t seen ‘em for over a month, which is lovely).
I like the fact that yesterday I saw loads of guys walking [...]

Ceci n’est pas un moi – Representaion and Identity

Posted on 8 February 2008. Filed under: Comics, Identity, Literature, Mind, Representation, Self, Writing |

So, I’ve been reading Scott McCloud’s ludicrously excellent Understanding Comics. If you have any interest in creating any kind of artwork, or anything creative at all(surely that’s just creating anything), then you should read this book, possibly twice.
After only one read through I think I could potentially have a couple of months worths of blog [...]

An Idea – Space for Words to Breathe

Posted on 4 February 2008. Filed under: Display, Language, Literature, Performance, Words |

So, talking/thinking about stuff yesterday, particularly festivals and things. (For the record, Tai Chi and RP yesterday were both brilliant. I had a full day of good time. It was good.)
Any, a Tai Chi friend puts on a festival every year. He was talking about how even though the general focus tends to be on [...]

CreativiDream – A little bit of madness every night

Posted on 3 February 2008. Filed under: Creation, Creativity, Death, Dreams, Intricate, Mind |

So, this isn’t going to make much sense, but it was wonderful. Essentially, I’ve just woken up from a particularly intense barrage of dreams, but I’ve got to go somewhere pretty soon (Tai Chi practice marathon) so can’t go too in depth, I just want to cement some of what happened.
It all started with what [...]

Fey Lure and the Top of the Hill

Did the faerie folk lead me to the crest of a mountain?
Alas no, just more sound play.
I tried to write the project that’s been composting  since the year began, and I heard about this.
It didn’t work, and I’m frustrated by this. It may just be part of my current trouble with words and communication, or [...]

Alabaster Crippens doesn't entirely believe in objective truth, therefore he can neither confirm or deny the accuracy of any statement, image or impression caused by, or displayed on, these pages of the so called 'internet'. He does however not want to get sued, even if the lawyers, legal system, and the concept of jurisprudence doesn't exist. Therefore if you believe the nonsense posted on here you do so entirely at your own risk. In other words: Don't sue me 'cause I might not mean it. Basically, anything you hear from anyone is unreliable, so if you want the 'truth' you need the perspectives of as many people as you can get..ideally people who are trustworthy and close to the particular 'truth' you wish to inspect. If you start trusting idiots with silly (and obviously made up) names then you're developing some kind of problem. Check your sources, examine their own politcal (or other) motivation, remember that anything people say is opinion unless you are certain that they speak the 'truth'. Even your own eyes can lie. Trust me on that one. Or don't..it doesn't bother me. Finally, everything written here is, to the best of my knowledge written by me and I reserve my right to be recognised as the author of these works. Any input from other sources should be clearly shown, if you note a mistake or anything..tell me..I'll try and sort out the problem. Please ask me if you want to use anything for commercial reasons...I probably won't mind but I need to know I'm not supporting anything I don't want to support. This is an attempt at a legal notice written without legal knowledge. Just follow the principles, I think most of you get what I mean, even if it won't stand up in a court of law. Just be polite you know...like in the good ole days.
