Twice cooked

Sorry I haven’t been around for ages, has been a busy life of late. Also, its actually going to continue being busy, and I’ll be in London for up to a week. When I get back I should still be on my brief chunk of time off, so hopefully I’ll put something real up here at some point.

I’m pretty sure I can’t get the job opportunity at work I’ve been getting excited about,  on account of not technically being in the post I’m in at the moment. It’s complicated, and at least a little depressing. But I remain hopeful. I don’t know for certain that I can’t do it, but it’s unlikely.

It’s all related to that creative young people consultation thing. I’ve got all into the idea of trying to do ‘youth work’ for a while, and there’s a chance I can take a slightly more senior (more money, more worry)  post in the Children’s lie berry, and spend my time focussed on getting young people into the lie berry. Which could be really fun, exciting, and an opportunity to genuinely gain some interesting experience.

Personal career development is getting me all excited. My life proceeds to take turns I wouldn’t have seen coming, lets put it like that.

In other news, I drank a lot of bourbon last night. And I definitely mean a lot. I’m going to have to pay off a chunk of Denial’s bar tab to make up for it, but damn was it fun. Then went to check out Spesh’s squat. I remember making a vast amount of tea whilst confused, and being generally drunk and emarrassing.

It’s been a while.

For those that don’t know, I’m also now ‘kinda seeing’ the fox. It’s seriously lovely, but I shan’t go into it, as she’s a reader and I think it’d make her feel awkward.  This is probably already bad enough.

Elsewhere, in this assortment of crumbs. I got really excited about a website I saw that makes it easy to set up wikis. I’m going to have a fiddle at some point next week, and if it meets my approval I’ll post about it, and maybe set up some weird community thing (I got most excited when I started marrying it up with the youth stuff above…there’s room for something fun. Joining together a space for young people in the lie berry with a space for the same young people online. The future is now, and it’s egg shaped.)

So there’s the bits and pieces, all rattling around the bottom of a big tin.
