Wish me luck

Okay, so this morning, I dreamt a particularly metaphysical xkcd comic.

Basically, the title was steam train. In the main area was a blank rectangle, the size of the average comic strip. Drawn all around it were things like needle and thread, scissors and things. The mouse over alt-text was ‘Go on, you know you want to’.

And I did.

So I peeled the paper off the computer screen (dream, remember) picked up the scissors, needle and thread, and proceeded to sew a steam train into the paper. At which point it drove off.

Strangely satisfying.

Anyway, to the luck.

Today could be the most stressful day of my life. We’re putting on an event at the library, and I’m kinda in charge. This means I might even be on the local news (ooooOOOOoooh…or possibly not), so anyone in the South of England might see me on South Today at around 9.15….possibly.

Anyway, who cares. It might all go horribly wrong, it might not.

But then I’m going to Secret Garden Party, where, amongst other things I’m going to see Grace, fucking, Jones.

I can’t accurately explain, or contain, my excitement.

The other thing though, is that I’m DJing in the science tent. Oh yeah baby.

I’ve spent the week perfecting a set, and I’ve actually worked out a really punchy, fun and massively varied set. If’n I don’t get too nervous, it might be the best thing ever.

So wish me luck.

Will the steam train take you to the garden party? I await you there, proud and strong and covered in margarine

Oooh. Jealousy all around. Enjoy it! Oh, and good luck.

Wow, tell us how it goes!

That dream was pretty cool btw.

  4. So the library thing went really, really, really well. Which is nice. The festival was great, though I didn’t play in the end due to technical issues. This was really really lame as I was really looking forward to it.

The weekend was great though, and I did still get in for free.

Thanks for the luck and stuff, sorry it wasn’t entirely necessary.
